Perica Viña Olagosa Reserva

Reserve red wine made from Tempranillo (90%) Garnacha (5%) y Mazuelo (5%) from the Olagosa (San Asensio) and Tronconegro (Cenicero) states, in Rioja Alta. Aged for 24–28 months in oak barrels Bordeaux-style, made from French oak and Eastern Europe, followed by at least 18 months in bottle. Awarded 94 points by Decanter World Wine Awards 2021.
Tasting notes
Clear, with a deep colour and cherry-red hues. Intense and complex on the nose. Toasty aromas, with notes of ripe dates and hints of toffee. Flavoursome on the palate with smooth tannins.
Very fresh, with complex notes from the ageing process.
Pairing suggestions
This wine is ideal for drinking on its own or with cold meats, vegetable stews, and, above all, meat dishes.

Production process
Hand-harvested into crates. Grapes are sorted at our facilities using conveyor belts and the most innovative systems. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in 6,500-litre French oak vats, where malolactic fermentation also occurs. Ageing in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels for 24–28 months, combining new 225-litre barrels of French oak and Eastern oak. Bottle ageing for at least 18 months prior to release.
