Tasting notes
A deep garnet-red colour, full-bodied, clear and bright.
A complex bouquet, with appealing notes of red and black fruits in perfect harmony with spicy, coffee and cocoa aromas, resulting from the wine’s ageing in excellent French oak.
On the palate, it is smooth and silky, with the sweetness and finesse of the tannins coming to the fore.
The spicy notes and hints of ripe fruit reappear on the finish. The aftertaste is long and lingering.
Its balanced and elegant structure suggests it will age very well in the bottle.

Ideal for vegetables, succulent meats (roasts, lamb, game) and cheeses.

Presentamos el nuevo estuche benéfico de «Sonrisa de Diana». Todo lo recaudado con su venta se destina a un proyecto de investigación sobre el melanoma cutáneo, que se desarrolla desde 2012 en el CIBIR (Centro de Investigación Biomédica de La Rioja).
El estudio se titula «Identificación de factores pronósticos mediante secuenciación masiva en melanoma localmente avanzado». Es un proyecto pionero en nuestra comunidad, ya que por primera vez colaboran juntos profesionales del Hospital San Pedro, la Fundación Hospital de Calahorra y el CIBIR.
Lo dirige el doctor Alfonso Martín, especialista de la Sección de Oncología Médica del Hospital San Pedro, junto al investigador Ignacio Larráyoz Roldán. En total, participan 14 profesionales. Comprando este vino, cualquiera puede aportar su granito de arena a esta investigación.
Esta segunda edición de «Sonrisa de Diana» se presenta en un estuche con dos botellas de 75 cl de un vino Reserva especial de la añada 2012. Incluye además dos copas y un descorchador.
«Sonrisa de Diana» es un vino homenaje, nacido para ser solidario.

This wine is made from a meticulous selection of the finest grapes from our own best vineyards, which are over 60 years old: Finca Valpierre, Finca Camino de Briones, Finca Villarrica and Las Cortecillas.

Hand-harvested in 10-kilo crates from our oldest vineyards.
Grape sorting takes place on our premises using conveyor belts and the most innovative grape sorting systems.
Alcoholic fermentation in 6,500-litre French oak vats.
Malolactic fermentation in new French Allier oak barrels.
Aged in new French Allier oak barrels (225 litres) from the most prestigious cooperages.
