Perica Oro Reserva Especial
Production process
We select our grapes for PERICA ORO from the oldest vineyards of the family. They are small, old plots that we sell by hand in 10 kilo boxes. Always at the optimum moment to guarantee a perfect alcoholic and phenolic maturation. These These grapes go through two selections before entering the winery, a first selection in the field itself in which we only harvest perfect bunches and then a selection of grapes in the winery by means of a selection table. Alcoholic fermentation with long maceration and malolactic fermentation in French oak vats with a capacity of 6,500 litres. Ageing in new 225-litre Bordeaux barrels, 225 litre Bordeaux French oak barrels for 30-32 months. Ageing in bottle for at least 18 months before release.
Flavour and texture
Intense cherry red colour, clean and bright. High aromatic intensity, with balsamic aromas and sweet spices, such as cinnamon and nutmeg, from the barrel ageing. They intermingle with aromas of forest fruits and liquorice that bring back memories of the Mediterranean. On the palate it is velvety and oily, marked by a pleasant tannin that leads to a long and fruity aftertaste, showing all the elegance of this wine. A gift for the senses. It stands out for its balance and roundness.
